Operational Capacity

Equifab has the operational capacity, industry experience and skill necessary to undertake highly complex, large scale steel fabrication projects for the mining, driling, construction & agricultural industries. The company supports numerous major developments in the booming Surat Basin and up into Central Queensland. At the same time Equifab regularly takes on small fabrication jobs for local business and rural producers.

As a leading Darling Downs based steel fabrication company, Equifab has built up an extensive client base over the years. Clients include major mining & drilling (gas, oil, water) building and construction companies. Equifab has also provided structural steel work for the Port of Brisbane Authority.

The Team:

Equifab Pty Ltd has the skill base necessary to support the complexity and range of projects undertaken. The company employs qualified engineering & workshop staff from numerous trades including steel fabricators & boiler makers, draftsmen, panel beater/spray painters, rigger dogsmen etc.

Supervisors are BSA licensed.

Steve Forrest (Managing Director) Steve has in excess of 20 years steel fabrication experience within the mining, drilling, building and construction industries. He personally has trade qualifications as a boiler maker and steel fabricator coupled with years of engineering & management experience. Steve understands the requirements of his clients, has significant project management skills and the capacity to steer projects to successful completion within agreed time frames and to his clients' satisfaction.
Nicki Forrest (Administration Manager) Nicki has over 10 years experience in the steel fabrication industry. She manages the Equifab office and oversees the administrative interface with clients, suppliers, government agencies and staff.
